Help Centre

The short version of how TripMatch works, and where to go when something is wrong.

Getting started

Three things get you from signing up to travelling:

  • Create an account and complete your traveller profile — destinations, dates, budget and travel style.
  • Browse public trips, or create your own and set the group size and expected costs.
  • Request to join a trip. The organiser reviews requests; you talk in the group chat before anything is settled.

Accounts and profiles

You need a verified email address to use the platform. Profile completion is required before you can join or create trips, because other members are deciding whether to travel with you based on what is on it.

Identity verification is separate and optional. You can start it at any time from your settings.

Trips and joining

Public trips appear in discovery and search. Private trips are invite-only and never shown publicly.

Requesting to join is not the same as joining — the organiser decides. If a trip fills up, its listing shows as full.

You can leave a trip from your dashboard. Tell the group as early as you can: organisers may have booked on the assumption that you are coming.

Payments

Joining and browsing are free. Optional paid extras exist — such as featuring a trip at the top of discovery, or an upgraded membership — and you will always see the price before you are charged.

The cost of the trip itself is arranged directly between participants. TripMatch does not collect or hold that money.

Still stuck?

If something is broken, unclear, or a member has behaved badly, contact support using the address in the footer. Include the trip or profile in question and we will look into it.
