Is TripMatch free?
Creating an account, building a profile and browsing trips are free. Some optional extras — such as featuring a trip at the top of discovery or an upgraded membership — are paid. You are never charged without choosing a paid option first.
Are all members identity-verified?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. Identity verification is optional. Members who complete it carry a verification badge on their profile, so you can see at a glance whether someone has verified their ID before you travel with them.
Who pays for the trip itself?
Participants do, directly. TripMatch helps you find companions and agree the plan; flights, accommodation and activities are arranged and paid for by the group. Organisers set out expected costs up front on each trip.
What if I change my mind after joining a trip?
You can leave a trip from your dashboard. Because arrangements are made between participants, we ask you to tell the group as early as you can — organisers may have booked on the assumption you are coming.
Can I travel with people I already know?
Yes. Trips can be public and open to matching, or private and invite-only. Private trips are not shown in public discovery.
How do I report someone?
Every profile and trip has a report option, and our support team reviews reports individually. If you feel unsafe at any point, contact us and we will act on it.
